OMG! it’s Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu

When two tabletop games love each other very much…

Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu, the latest edition in the Pandemic line of tabletop games has finally arrived and is the perfect combination of Pandemic and Arkham Horror. This game was developed by Chuck Yager, the creator of Arkham Horror, based on Pandemic by Matt Leacock and is available from Z-Man Games. It is very much a Pandemic game with a Cthulhu skin but with several new gameplay elements added to make it just different enough to be unique in and of itself.

Fans of Pandemic will definitely be right at home playing Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu and will see many familiar elements. New elements such as Shoggoths and the Old Ones change up the gameplay and add a new sense of urgency to the game that the core Pandemic doesn’t have.

In OMG! it’s Pandemic: Reign of Cthulhu, we play the game for the very first time. The box was opened just prior to filming this gameplay and the board set up ready to go. We’ll go through the essentials and then dive into our first bout with the Old Ones in an attempt to close all the portals and save the planet from Cthulhu’s awakening and certain doom.
